Capacity Loosens for Van and Reefer Freight
Jan 27 – Feb 3 – Rates have continued to decline during the past four weeks, though the national average rates for vans and reefers are still higher now than they were at any point in 2017. Load-to-truck ratios have also stepped down, but remain significantly higher than at this time last year. National average rates last week dropped 3¢ for vans, 8¢ for reefers and 13¢ for flatbeds.
