National Van Rate Unchanged for 4 Weeks

Reefer and Flatbed Rate Also in Holding Pattern

Mar 11 – 17 – National average rates are in a holding pattern for now. The national average van rate held steady at $2.14 per mile for the fourth week in a row. Average reefer and flatbed rates also were unchanged. Don’t expect that to last long though. Just ahead is the end of third quarter, the pre-Easter rush, and the penalty phase of the ELD mandate.
