Flatbed Load-to-Truck Ratio Tops 70:1

Feb 18 – 24 – Van rates took another step down last week, but that drop is from record highs that were experienced in January. Reefers rates also moved lower, but flatbed prices gained ground for the third week in a row. The load-to-truck ratio for flatbeds continues to skyrocket, topping 70:1 last week. The national average van rate dipped 1¢ and the national reefer rate declined 2¢, while flatbed rates moved up 5¢.
