Spring has sprung for truckload freight

National Spot Rates: Van, Flatbed, Reefer

Better weather leads to higher demand

April 29 – May 5 – Van and reefer rates are turning upward in May, edging above the April averages after several weeks of declines. Flatbed rates are stable, compared to last month.

Trendlines shows a weekly snapshot of the month-to-date for national average rates from DAT RateView. National average spot market rates for the past four months, including fuel surcharges, are shown in the three graphs, above.
