Truck Posts Increase for Vans, Reefers, Flatbeds

Apr 8 – 14 – Rates moderated last week as capacity returned to the market. Truck posts increased for all three equipment types. The national average van rate declined 3¢ per mile, while the average reefer rate fell 4¢, and flatbed  prices held steady. Rates for all three equipment types are still higher than their March averages, and the flatbed load-to-truck ratio has exceeded 100 loads per truck for the past three weeks.
