Understanding
accounting software for the trucker.
|
Our goal is
to provide the trucker a source to understand
accounting software for technology solutions
accounting
software that help streamline your management
and workflow tasks -- and keep you in compliance
with government regulations. Whether it's driver
management software for calculating fuel
taxes, We offer a comprehensive selection
of products to choose from, and we're constantly
developing and refining them to meet the needs
of our customers - your needs. Best of all,
our products are designed to work together,
so you can start with one or two modules, and
add new ones as your business grows. You can
find recordkeeping and driver qualification
programs that work together as an integrated
system sharing company and employee information
- for virtually any number of drivers. Enter
the data only once and the system does the rest…saving
you time and helping eliminate costly errors.
Years of data
may be kept on the system at all times enabling
instant access to information regardless of
its age. It should include a complete billing
and invoicing features with easy to use formatted
data entry screens. Billing should be completely
integrated with order entry and dispatch, assuring
minimal keystrokes and absolute certainty all
orders for service are actually billed. Tax
forms and accounting software use an extremely
comprehensive set of A/R reports
that can be created at the stroke of key, detailed
aging reports; open item statements; cash receipt
reports; sales percentage reports; A/R by salesman
reports; revenue by driver reports; open item
by customer, by days old, and many, many other
formats.
It's hard
to keep track of all the details you need to
run your small business, and nowhere is this
truer than in the trucking industry. Overlooking
a small detail can lead to serious consequences
- lost time and profits, missed or misplaced
cargos . . . even an audit!
To avoid these pitfalls, and to increase the
effectiveness and profitability of your operations,
you need a helping hand - something that can
assist you in keeping track of those important
details and records. Our
Trucking Software can be that helping hand
for you! Programs are powerful, easy to use,
and designed especially for the owner/operator
and the small fleet owner.
Our
Trucking Software will track maintenance
and repairs, fuel
cost, daily mileage, driver data, and permit
information on an unlimited number of vehicles.
You enter specifics on vehicles, drivers, vendors,
licensing, periodic maintenance schedules, costs,
and more, then generate reports to track how
each vehicle performs. You can keep business
costs easily accessible, track gas mileage,
monitor problem maintenance issues, and get
alerts on due periodics. Import and export info
through delimited text files. Online help is
included, along with detailed sample data to
illustrate the program features.
Don't overlook
your duties. Deadlines differ depending on business
type. If registrations, fuel costs and DOT compliance
paperwork aren't enough to confuse and burden
you, the season should put you over the edge.
It already started, of course, with preparation
of employees' W-2s and contractors' 1099s.
An individual
must file by April 16. You report W-2 earnings,
dividends, interest, capital gains and losses
and pension income. Some fleet owners may also
need to report business income. You can get
an extension on the filing date, but that won't
delay your payment deadline. Some must pay a
quarterly estimated with the last installment
due April 15, whether or not you get an extension
to file the return. Payments not made by April
15 are subject to interest and, potentially,
penalties. Filing extensions may be available
to August 15 or October 15. Compared to the
business obligations, your personal return is
a breeze. Business returns get quite complicated
depending on the type of business you have chosen.
